Independant, Experience, Insight, Value.
I am a Chartered Accountant. I gained my accounting qualifications part time at Curtin University. While studying I worked in a Chartered Accountants office, a bank and a local swimming pool.
After achieving my degree I traveled overseas for a couple of years where I worked as an auditor and also in commercial offices.
To fill in time before sitting for my post graduate qualification to become a Chartered Accountant I completed three quarters of a diploma in property valuation which has been helpful to valuations prepared..
Up to 2003 I worked in Chartered Accountants offices. I was a partner at Melsom Wilson/Hall Chadwick for 15 years before deciding to resign and become involved in property development and management while continuing my forensic accounting work as a sole practitioner.
In the period up to 2003 I worked with insolvency partners assisting in the corporate restructuring and also preparing forensic accounting matters for the firm. My exposure to a number of disciplines within accounting firms meant I was in a unique position to look at briefs from a number of different angles and with knowledge of many industries.
Working as a sole practitioner I prepare the reports myself. I occasionally use book keepers for data input and computer specialists for IT input. This ensures that work is performed efficiently, on time and I have a complete background to the matter which is essential for court appearances.
I do enjoy appearing in court.
